As we enter our third annual festival, we must implement a few changes to keep OMF as sustainable, efficient and well-run as possible. We value the experience, feelings and thoughts of every single Okeechobeing and want to let you know where these decisions come from. So, let’s get to it.
For the past two years, we’ve known how many people would be attending, but we didn’t know how many cars would be camping onsite. Cars, trucks, vans, buses, and vehicles of all types take up a lot of space. The number of available campsites fluctuates greatly depending on the number of cars onsite and more importantly how many people are in each car. In addition, car camping puts a much higher wear and tear on the land than tent-camping, thus causing a need for more post-festival land improvements in order to restore our pristine landscape. Sunshine Grove is our home and if you’ve been to OMF, you know as much as we do our magical land is at the very essence of our experience.
We want to make sure that our campsites are comfortable, with enough space for everyone- and we need to know how many cars will be camping onsite. In order to do that, we require a car camping parking pass for attendees coming with their vehicles.
If you want to avoid purchasing the car camping parking pass (or if you just wanna be a badass, environmentally-aware rockstar) there are many other options!
Park in our day parking lot and camp in glorious tent-only camping!
Take a shuttle or train to the festival and camp in glorious tent-only camping!
Get dropped off at the festival and camp in glorious tent-only camping!
If you DO need to camp with your car, you will still have the freedom to do so for only $40.00. If you carpool with say 4 people (as we truly, deeply hope you will) that’s only $10.00/person. You can start the festival experience before you even arrive at OMF by road-tripping with your crew, you can help us keep the land of Sunshine Grove healthier, and cut down on carbon emissions! Triple win!
AND, a portion of each car camping parking pass purchased will be donated to help officially offset your Carbon Footprint.
Car camping passes are limited, we suggest reserving them sooner than later.
1 car camping parking pass is required per car (passes are for cars, vans, trucks, etc...anything bigger than a vehicle that fits in a roughly 20x20 spot will need an RV parking pass)
Each car camping campsite is roughly 20x20
Only 1 car camping parking pass can be used per car. Purchasing extra car camping passes for 1 vehicle will not allow for more space per car.
